"...I was 'Murder', P. Diddy made me pretty/ I did it for the money/ now can you get with me..." It looks like the Murder Ma$e that we use to know is back and in full effect... He appeared on tour with G-Unit and now looking to sign a new deal with G-Unit... I know what you all are thinkin though... what happened to Paster Ma$e that we embraced just last year... the Preacher slash Rapper that didnt curse or speak of derogatory statement torwards women and blah blah blah... Now he's back to the slick talking Murder Ma$e that we knew before he left the game... He has a verse out with G-Unit, Mobb Deep, and MOP on a track called "300 Shots"... Ma$e is spittin venom on dis track you HAVE to hear it... I think the transition will be good for rap but bad for Ma$e's image...

I got to give it up for LIl' Kim... I really thought that she was done with the rap game... but the two singles that she came out wit is aight... "Shut Up Bitch" and "Put Your Lighters Up" It looks like she came back strong... Although some people say the she just bitin other people styles, (like in "shut Up bitch" she sounds like jacky o and in "put your lighers up" she sound like the old lauryn hill... so they say) regardless of what it is those two single are hot... if she keep going at this rate she'll have a hot album on her hands... what do you think?
Goin Crazy for Jeezy and Jay-Z
Young Jeezy records a track with Jay-Z titled, Go Crazy... this track got this hip hop lover going crazy forreal... this is wat the streets needs... something real and not watered down to fit radio formats..."Imma hustler's hope, I'm not there pipe dream, so when they speak of sucess i'm what they might mean..." Jay-Z is dat dude forreal...
Hot 97 Gets Smacked After Smackfest
Hot 97 coughs up 300k as a result of Smackfest 2004. During Smackfest listeners were invited to come on the air and take turns smacking each other silly for summerjam tickets and a grand pize of 5000. They were not allow to block as they were getting smacked. Spitzer, NY State Attorney General, filed a civil suit against the station, which was settled out of court for 300k. Now if two people (male vs. male, female vs. female) want to smack each other silly for a prize i say let 'em... boxers been knocking each other out for the longest... what was so different about Smackfest? i dont know... some say Spitzer filed the civil suit as publicity for the up coming elections in NY... What ever the case is, hot 97 lost 300k...and "i dont care oh well oh well" dats how it is...
I Dont Want to Hear That Tune Again... Do not Rewind
Why is it that every time i turn on the radio i hear the same old songs over and over and over again. Some are good some aren't, but the bad part is that the good songs get played out FAST. For example, the Diamonds song by Kanye  was hot the first time i heard it on the radio, but after the 100th time listenning to it i got tired of it and his album isn't even out yet. Now, when i do get the album i'll have to skip over that song because hot 97 played it out. I think the reason for this is that there are not enough radio friendly songs out that are hot... and the few that are gets played out early... the radio stations need to start expanding their playlist to more than just a couple of songs... i know dj's have an endless amount of music... maybe they should start playing them instead of keepin it for themselves... what do you think?

I got to see one of my peoples perform on stage infront of an audience... If any of you live around the Philly area you might be familiar with the radio station Wired 96.5 Well they thru a party in Alantic City on Nikki Beach this past weekend and my boy Tha Don performed there...  Click on image to see more pictures of Tha Don It was good to see on of my peoples live out their dreams like dat... hopefully he'll move on to better and more publicized venues... I wish that more of my peoples (myself included) had that kind of opportunity to get on stage and rock the crowd or to just be heard... one of my goals is to start a recording podcasts of various rap dudes so that they can be heard forreal... in the mean time i'll just write it like i hear it... for more pictures of Tha Don click here |
