Honestly there aren't many good artist out right now. With that said, there's not a great selection to choose from. I found myself struggling to even pick a decent ten. The following list are people that have had an album or single out in 2005. I didn't include Jay-z or Nas becuase they are both legends and that wouldnt be fair to the rest of the rappers out. If I had to include them they would be numbers 1 and 2 respectively. Here is my list.
10) Tha Game:
This new commer hit the game hard with G-Unit representing the west coast. Then turned on his boss 50 cent, 300 bars was serious...
9) 50 Cent:
Although he's everywhere right now (music, movies, video games, etc) his lyrics aren't that good. But he does make hits like every other week so that why he's up here
8) Young Jeezy:
This guy came out of no where and became a thug's motivation. He represents the streets forreal.
7) Ma$e:
Although he flip flopped from paster to murder you cant deny that Ma$e has ill lyrics with a cool melody to go with it.
6) Cassidy:
He came up as an underground/mixtape rapper. His first album flopped but the new one is sick. He came back strong and displayed his lyrical talent.
5) Jada:
I dont have to say much about Jada, his track record speaks for itself.
4) Cam'ron:
Cam'ron is the most gangsta rapper out right now. Who else you know that could get shot and have a song out about it 2 days later.
3) Lil Wayne:
Since he came out at the age of 15 he had a swagger that no one could mess with. He's a down south rapper with lyrics and flow from up north
2) Beanie Sigel:
Is the truth. No need to say more.
1) Kanye West:
Original, talented, flamboyant are just some of the words to describe him. He hit the game hard with lyrics and beats. The reason I think he's so good is the topics he talks about is different from what you would hear on the regular basis.
That's my top ten, what's yours?
I don't like your entire list.
I've grown a disgust for practically all music that plays on the radio. Matter of fact, I don't even listen to the radio anymore because of it.
This list is specific to the rappers that had albums our hot singles in 2005. I will definitely do an underground list too, just to balance it out. What would be on your list.
Damn you can't roll with a list like that and not include Doom, Common, Mega, LB...all who had tight as fuck albums this year.

idk i think this list is pretty accurate, i mite hve tha game and 50 a little higher up and drop kanye a few but overall pretty solid.
That list is right on target. All them rap artists wear tight hip hop jewelry.
hahaha you got to be kiddin me rite i dont agree with like half the list
Are you kidding me!!! You have no one on this list that's even good!!
First of all you should be putting Jay-Z and Notorious B.I.G on the list they are legands and they deserve it. How about Dr. Dre, Eminem, and TuPac. WHY in the world is Kayne West even make the list along with Lil' Wayne...LIL' WAYNE DOESN'T EVEN WRITE HIS OWN SONGS!!! Lolilpop doesn't even rap in it!!! they radio sucks now..hip-hop died. but it's coming back in 2008 and 2009!! First hopefully 50 Cent will get his act together and drop a hot album, then Ca$his, Obie Trice, The Game is dropping another one, THEN EMINEM!!!, D12 is coming after, and then finally the album that everyone is lookingforward to..Detox by Dr. Dre!! this list is pathetic.
man are you serious ? do you even listen to rap or hip hop beenie segal kanye jadakiss what wack ass place are you from . half of your list is gross if anything it should look somthin like this
1.tupac
2.biggie
3.jayz
4.snoop
5.jeezy
6.rick ross
7.T.I.
8.snoop
9.trick daddy
10.lil wayne
not accurate or obviously in order but my opinion a more respectful list I think and the majority of the people agree so as well.
you might as well put ll cool j and puffy on ur list lol. its horable
You guys are idiots. Eminem murdered the rap game and is going to do it again with Recovery. If you listen to "Despicable" off the Relapse 2 Mix Tape, you know what's coming. He has perfected perfection. Lil' Wayne pulls in at number 2 for his great lyrics, flow, and heart from his MIX TAPES only. Most of his studio work is junk.
